You cannot even begin to know the outpour which continues daily...Now, the Chicago Tribune has issued your article, these effects are global...please forward my note to your editor...Chase's shy demeanor but his relentless desire to fight this beast of a cancer, three times, has had a ripple effect on people...Believe in the goodness of people and lives will be saved. I hope, Seema and Mark, that you truly know that by doing this 'piece' on Chase and coming to know the life saving ability to save a person by giving blood products, including bone marrow and stem cells, you and the LA Times have dramatically saved lives...Your earnest desire to share this story coupled with Mark's prolific photos have given people an insight to the needs Chase wants so desperately to be known. Our family is so grateful that your motives, your kindness and diligent commitment to this cause is a testimony of your ethical fiber. I commend your newspaper eternally with gratitude from a family who never really wanted to be in the newspaper for this reason....
